Correct - if the WOL packet is a broadcast, a router should drop the packet immediately and *not* send it to the other networks it routes between. As far as I know it is only DHCP broadcasts that you can configure a router to forward easily (RFC-1542 compliance), not magic packets, but I think it

I don't think you can leave a wireless NIC in standby like you can a wired one. To receive WOL packets, a wired NIC is supplied with a very small voltage by the motherboard, so it can recognize the magic packet, and trigger the wakeup. A wireless NIC would need to be on, connected to your
