After a number of hours when my Mac isn't being used (e.g. overnight or

browser and needs to be stopped and restarted.

I find the Fast forward Rewind rather slow, and unintuitive. I was

wired one. To receive WOL packets, a wired NIC is supplied with a very
small voltage by the motherboard, so it can recognize the magic packet,

Note that port-forwarding to devices works differently on different
routers. My UK Netgear DG834 won't forward to devices that aren't
'attached' to the device - ie, not powered on. So I couldn't wake mine
from a device outside of my home LAN.
