hamachi vpn for remote access because I'm a bit paranoid about popping
open ports (you never know, slimserver may have some

it was an early 802.11g device. There will be some degredation and in
the worst case the whole network might run at b speeds, but

I think that part of the 802.11G protocol is the backward compatibility
to support 802.11B clients. In any mixed-mode network the 802.11G
clients will see a slowdown if there are any 802.11B clients on the
network also.

You can't lose with the Linn Classik. Includes a tuner, CD player,
switched mode power supply, all that in a nice little shoebox package,

I managed to get the MusicIP Service running with the correct
dependency. Everything start fine. I see the MM in slimserver but I
always get a very quick result of an empty playlist. My library is
fully validated and I have rescanned several times.

I used 5.4.1 for more than a year and had very good results with it. It
was stable and fast.
I upgraded to 6.2.x a while ago, mainly for the new features like
Browse By Year, podcasts, etc. It seems to run slower than 5.4.1,
but I do like and use the new features.

A low-end or used NAD receiver will work well. They have excellent
tuners and plenty of power to drive 2 sets of speakers. Even the ones
rated at 25-watts actually have a great deal of power for real-world
applications. An NAD will generally sound better than a cheap
mass-market receiver.

is a way to EQ with SW in the digital domain. Since I am using iTunes,
Apple Lossless and Slimserver I'm not aware of any plugin EQ SW that
can be used. Not even sure if the crummy iTunes EQ will work with the
SB3 setup.
I have had similar problems when downgrading from the Nightly releases
to 6.3. I got it working by wiping out everything and starting over in
my configuration of slimserver. I am listening to a great IP mix now!

...however, I'm having an unrelated problem with two of my feeds.
This feed worked before the odeo opml snafu, but now no longer works:
RG6 is perfect for s/pdif, and I would have no reservations about using
it for analog audio either.
