That's not true, at least with respect to the SB2/3. (I'm not sure about the other devices.) You ARE able to stream flac which is one of the great advantages to storing your music as flac as opposed to WMA Lossless. You are still able to get a bit-exact output with about half the bandwidth as

I've run tests myself to compare encode speed vs. compression. Obviously, if speed is not an issue, 8 is the best. That's what I typically use. However, if I want to go faster but still have reasonable compression, 5-6 is pretty good. The speed difference from 1-5-6 is minimal, while the

You might want to look a few threads down. This is a known issue, but it isn't yet clear whether it is a bug or something to do with a slightly revised way that Slimserver reads tags. Luckily, it's easy to fix (or at least, has been for most people - one I think is still experiencing problems).

All my albums are in seperate directories. It seems to effect both compilation albums and some single albums with no specific reason. Even if uninstalled, it continus to effect earlier versions such as 6.2.1 or 6.2.2. Is there a way to remove absolutely all of 6.2.3, what files could I be missing

Well it did work :) I finally played around with some of the server setting too and disabled some stuff so it will load faster. But I don't think its going to work for a library rescan because on my home computer the drive comes up as L: and the D: drive is a fixed drive that needs to be labeled
