I've been testing the Telcanto interface and running into a problem.
When I try to look at Artists or Albums in Library, it usually gives
me an OutofMemoryException message or stalls out with an hour glass.
It works fine when I choose Genres or Folders.

In case anyone is subscribed and is interested, I fixed my dropout
problem by... resetting the BIOS. My everpresent and nagging dropouts
were erased entirely. I am thankful to say the least (I was using my
squeezebox1 less and less because of my frustration) but I'm not quite
sure what fixed it.
I'm using 802.11g and REW/FFW is barely functional
Take Echoes by Pink Floyd, for example. I ffw the song to the 10 minute
mark and when I press play,it starts playing at the 5 minute mark.

It is a limited special edition only available through brack.ch.
AFAIK it's the same hardware as the 106 but with added RAM.
Brack.ch tells me that they only deliver to Switzerland.

The FF/REW definitely needs improvement.
Additionally, and at the very minimum, SlimServer's web interface
should have the ability to click any place on a progress bar of the
length of the song and have the song immediately start playing from
there. Just like in iTunes, WMP, etc.

I may have the wrong settings - when I use 'extended text' the now
playing info is the stream URL as opposed to the song title??
I don't have a way to use this particular plugin, but as far as I know
the Now Playing data should be the same when it's on the second screen
as when it's on the first screen.
I just tested RadioIO (mp3 with metadata) and it works fine when
displayed on the second screen.

It should be exactly the same screen as appears on the left screen when
now playing is selected. Plugin authors can customise what appears on
the right screen, but if not I would expect it to show what you are
looking for.
Try it out with softsqueeze and the Transporter skin.

Turns out I had left the alternative screen2 text display on from your
Custom Display Plugin and that was causing the stream url to display as
current playlist - switched off

The developers would know better, but I believe it looks at the dates
the files were modified. New or changed files get added, existing ones
are kept.

I'm happy with the remote and the way things are right now. And I
certainly don't want to hide my Squeezebox. I think it looks great.
What you're suggesting should be optional. I'm very happy with the
price of the Squeezebox, particularly since its better, soundwise, than
the SONOS. The SONOS
I use the Philips Pronto TSU7500, which has hard buttons and a large,
completely programmable/designable LCD screen. You can pretty much
design any Squeezebox remote you want.
