G won't make a difference if you have weak signals (which is what it sounds like) and/or IX (interference). Connect it directly to your LAN using the Ethernet and check again. My guess is that you will find better performance. Key in wireless is the ratio of signal to interference. Increase

In case anyone is subscribed and is interested, I fixed my dropout problem by... resetting the BIOS. My everpresent and nagging dropouts were erased entirely. I am thankful to say the least (I was using my squeezebox1 less and less because of my frustration) but I'm not quite sure what fixed it.

The FF/REW definitely needs improvement. Additionally, and at the very minimum, SlimServer's web interface should have the ability to click any place on a progress bar of the length of the song and have the song immediately start playing from there. Just like in iTunes, WMP, etc. --

I don't have a way to use this particular plugin, but as far as I know the Now Playing data should be the same when it's on the second screen as when it's on the first screen. I just tested RadioIO (mp3 with metadata) and it works fine when displayed on the second screen. -- andyg

It should be exactly the same screen as appears on the left screen when now playing is selected. Plugin authors can customise what appears on the right screen, but if not I would expect it to show what you are looking for. Try it out with softsqueeze and the Transporter skin. -- Triode

I just installed SqueezeBob 3 and love it. It was amazingly easy to get up and running. I have 2 computers on my home network that I would like to run Slim Server on to access the single SqueezeBox. One of the PCs is wireless. Slim Server on the wired PC had no problem finding the Squeezebox.
