Slimserver can't connect to player anymore (wireless connection).
I eliminated firewall and mac address as possible causes. Wifi works
fine. Tried different versions and slimserver builds, reinstalls, clean
installs.
I suspect a router reset caused the problem, but don't have a clue how

I didn't really mean to have SD mod my SB, rather that I would buy a
new, improved Squeezebox. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I'd prefer spending $800-1000 for an original Slimdevices' project,
than have mine modified by someone else.

There aren't any tags in WAVs (not standard, anyway). But since
SlimServer is using the folder structure, there must be a difference in
the folder
I had the (unfortunate) opportunity to publish several posts a few weeks
ago to report on a complete stop of the SB2 when attempting to interface
with my Apple computer(s) running OS 10.4.9. I eventually removed my
SB2, too much hassle with an electronic appliance that should give me
pleasure
The slimserver just scans the playlists and the music managed by Itunes
and after some time (a few minutes) you can access your music.
Check out the options accessible with a web page.
I am not a PC user, on a MAC we have a Preference giving you access
to this web page, I assume that on a PC

The 6.5.3 nightly from June 12th 2007 found all my music and no longer
needed to have the location of the iTunes folder specified.
There are a couple of small issues with it that I've mentioned in the
Beta forum, but I think I'm going to stick with it and not go back to a

Squeezebox).
After you have lame installed you will need to turn on bitrate limiting
for that player. Go into player settings for that player and under
audio you will find bitrate limiting.

Music that i have purchased on i-tunes store that is in my i-tunes

have autorised it to be played on this laptop so that shouldn't be the

I think that the SlimServer browser help on artwork suggests that you
can use different names for the thumbnails and the other artwork
(something along the lines of, thumbnail.jpg will be chosen for the
thumbnail in preference to cover.jpg, etc.)
