Add works on my Harmony. I just assigned the + key to the bottom left
+ key on the harmony, and if I hold it down it behaves in the same
way as the SB3 remote.

10.4.x with SS 6.5.4 and most of my library is flac but I've never

What antivirus do you have installed on the Vista Machine? If you have
the installation disks, you may want to try uninstalling the antivirus
and see if you are able to connect then.
Keep in mind the uninstall is just a test to help troubleshoot where
the exact problem is coming from.

Did you change the IP address on your new PC? If it gets it's IP address
from a DHCP server then this is likely. I think from memory the SB looks
for the same IP address as it last used. Try going through the setup
again to see if it sees the server. Press and hold left arrow to get
back to the
2nd hand :(

As background, I use SPDF to connect my PC to a small Pioneer receiver,
which, in turn, outputs to speakers and a sub.
I've recently upgraded the front speakers, and, just for grins hauled
the Yamaha receiver I've got in the living room (a RX-V1000, which
probably dates me...).

I updated to SC7 some time ago because of better integration of SN into
SC. What I was expecting from what I was reading taht I don't have to
make every setting twice, syncing of favourites and so on.
What I get is: nothing of this ;)

You know the SB3 has a Burr-Brown DAC right?
If your receiver has a Pure or Direct bypass mode I would use the
SB3's analogue out.

the whole circuit...clocking, analogue stage and PSU are all at least
as important.
You need to listen and see what you prefer rather than buying something
because it has a particular (obsolete or outperformed tomorrow) chip in

I've got an SB3 in my living room hooked to my stereo and a Mac Mini in
my bedroom acting as the server. I'd like to use the remote that came
with the Mac to control my SB3. There are 3rd party apps that would
allow me to control any program with the remote, but I don't think I
