Thanks for the heads up. There is a Soundcloud plugin for the

I am also baffled why it still works!

Windows does a lot of caching so unless you have restarted Windows -
once a DLL has been loaded it may still available even if deleted from
the source directory as long as there is one instance of a process
which has linked to it. This make Windows very confusing if you update
DLLs as you need to
I tried the process explorer - can't figure out how it is supposed to
work! I have a bottom pane with DLs ticked in View - nothing appears!

If you are using the two pane view - then after opening the lower pane
ans making sure Lower Pane view is DLLs then if you select a
process in the upper pane , the DLLs associated with that process will
appear in the lower pane.

I've not had any issues with gapless. What kind of files FLAC, MP3 ect.

What about the crossfade settings? After that I'm not sure what it

Does anyone know what the performance will be like when used with the

Actually syncing only works robust, when songs are played gapless.
Otherwise a resync is needed on each song start.
Are you playing mp3?
In my experience the individual compression leads to very small audible
glitches in gapless songs. I can only hear it via headphones though and
when I listen
If that's all you want it for then you probably can't go too far wrong,
other than a probable lack of support. Just make sure it's got a
capacitive screen rather than resistive. If you want to do more with it
then I'd say it's worth spending a bit more on something you've heard
of.

Is there something like gapless mp3 songs? I can't really get mp3 to
play completely gapless, indeed, but I thought that was an mp3
limitation?

I'm using 160-256kbps AAC for everything. I have not changed any formats
or re-ripped anything recently. The very same files that worked
flawlessly before, now don't. And they still work flawlessly if I play
back through iTunes, or on my iPhone.
And it is not so much a glitch, but rather the

We don't have gapless AAC support (in the newer players), although maybe
with faad transcoding it's gapless, don't think I've tried to be
honest.
MP3 should be gapless if properly encoded with LAME from a gapless
source.

I do this at work with 70,000 files on USB external drives. No issues.
And I have over 200,000 mp3 files on a 2tb USB drive that also works

That will work, but why use SqueezePlay? It would mean that you'd also
need to install and run the server software on your work PC. The hell

At work I use squeezeplay to access things like MOG or siriusxm all in

What was the last version that still played AAC gaplessly, and how do I

faad transcoding is what happens whenever your device doesn't support
AAC natively.
You can enforce it in the server settings by disabling native under
Settings-Advanced-File Types-AAC in the server's web interface.
