Hi all,
As has been noted previously Napster UK is closing down. I have been a
happy customer of the £5 unlimited streaming and 5MP3 package for
several years, but this will be no more. I have checked with Napster
and the £5 per month "Napster Unilimited" package will not stream to

Delete the servers cache folder , stop LMS first ( location can be found

If you are on windows there is a clean cache function in the control
panel, this wipes the whole dB file.

Here is how my workflow has evolved over the years as far as editing tags:
I update the Album, Artist, Genre, Title, Track and Year tags with MP3Tag
I delete all other tags with MP3Tag
I use Foobar2000 to scan and update tags for ReplayGain
I use MusicIP to scan and update the tags for Music IP

I searched the forum for a solution, found several mentions of the

My rescan aborts with the following message in the log

Sounds like something may be corrupted. I would completely clear out the
cache folder and begin rebuilding the database from scratch. You can
find the location of the cache folder at Settings > Information, bottom
of the page. First, stop the server. Delete everything in the cache
folder. Restart

Sorry, I meant SD, not CF.
No idea about the icons though, don't use my Controller much these

Thanks - I found the page on Logitech's site that explains how to do
this with an SD card, and am now sorted.
One additional question: is there any way to disable the icons

I've been using Squeezebox and Squeezebox Touch for several years.
Never had this problem before.
I've been ripping quite a few CD's from my library. Typically I'll use

I recently rebuilt my server, which previously ran Ubuntu 8.10 with an
old version of SqueezeCenter (7.2 or 7.3, I can't quite remember
which).
I decided that perhaps the simplest option was to just build a
Vortexbox system, so have installed VB 1.10. This uses Squeezebox

There are loads of things that could bring the duplicates into play?
If you have a shortcut in the Flac folder to the MP3 folder it will
scan them too?
Also do you have any playlists linking the MP3 files? These will also
add them to the library.
Also have you got iTunes integration turned on?
I suspect that the above system will be superceded fairly quickly once
the Raspberry Pi becomes easily available!

Games don't count, games usually don't need high resolution because

No, it works fine on any DLNA player including the older PS3. Is

you turn off any other media server programs, they may be all trying to
use the same ports. Reboot LMS (stop then restart) when all other media
