I think you'll find that most here think that Logitech's decision to
make services on their players dependent on MSB was an atrocious one.
At the time they made it (during development of the radio?) All the beta
testers advised against it. I don't think that anyone save

Sad to see that UE, as a top brand in Pro Audio, does not have a
audiophile player and we have to deal with a crappy transistor radio to
play the carefully selected flac file's. So Meredian it would me say
goodbye to Logitech RIP squeezebox :-(

and it is but with a Local LMS, I can search and play station via the
Tune-in menu on LMS web page and from Touch Tune-in App.
I wonder what is different between our two setups ?

As part oif my test I did a search for BBC and played Radio Ulster OK
and I just rested with Radio 4 and it played OK with WMA 48kbps.
Since the problem is with the WMA stream this looks like the BBC geo
locking problem which Andyg had done some special work for UK users when
playing through
They can't operate as both a SB Radio and a UE Radio by a simple menu
function.
It's one or the other requiring a completely separate firmware (OS) for
each type.
Not that many would not like your idea, as has been suggested before.
But it's just not possible.

All BBC stream have some geolocking. The BBC have UK and Non UK stream
(i.e. lower speed or not at all). UK user cannot play non UK streams and
vice versa.
As the BBC sees me - I am not in UK so I get a 48kbps

Switching to local LMS, the only radio app which I could use was BBC
iPlayer. Tunein is crippled and can't get playable streams.
I didn't test other apps plugins but it was a frustrating
I've been using the preview version exclusively since it's been made
available. Overall, I've found it stable and improved. A couple of
things I've noticed:
1) I can't use rhapsody. I can search and navigate my rhapsody library,
but when I select something to play, it doesn't do anything.

This should work even today, drat ! That I did not took the opportunity
to try when mysb.com was down.
With the recent MySB outage it raises my concern about the Duet setup
process requiring access to MySB.com to complete setup! I would hope
that Logitech will remove this requirement from the Duet firmware so
that a Duet can be set up without MySB.com access. Or, does Logitech
plan on stranding us

Yes for a few days then start my Squeezebox Boom does not work anymore.
Have two friends with Squeezebox Boom and phoning me, they're
hysterical.
As an old computer user I tell them that probably has Logitech have a
