You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal
, eating into the SNR/dynamic range of
the music

Nonsense. We are talking line level here. I've been running stereo
inputs into mono amps for 30 years and never had any problem.

You want to see the signal
by a direct l/r connection
(which is exactly what the y-connector does).

also have lots of digital level reduction. Otherwise
you may be straying into the low-SNR realm. I reckon that RG of -10dB
(which is pretty much the max for very loud albums) + -10dB of level
reduction is probably the safe limit. Even after that it won't sound
bad...

It just reduces the level by adjusting the 24-bit word value internally
- exactly as the digital volume control does. There is NO compression or
limiting.

Actually, they are mostly slightly quieter.

related)?
There is a bug in MSE that has been acknowledged by MS.

what's with the . MYI - surely that should be .MYI - no preceding
space in the extension name... is this why the AV scanners fire off ONLY
on the merge VA step?

between Paused and

Internet radio will play ok.
So far I've tried:
Re-booting PC
Switching Squeezebox off at mains, disconnecting power cable and
ethernet cable.
Re-loading firmware, to v127.
Any thoughts anyone?

It's a fair point - I agree that created date makes more sense in most
contexts - but I guess it was just easier as they have to read the
modified date to do the new/CHANGED rescan...

A benefit in kind can only be provided by your employer with whom you
