Hello All,
I am happily running SlimServer Version: 6.5.4 - 12568 - Debian - EN -
iso-8859-1 on a couple of Linux boxes.
Give me one good reason to move to SqueezeCenter 7...
I listen to my ripped CDs and radio channels, and do not want to
subscribe to network services.

hello All,
I do not think I really understood what's behind Duet.
Is it just a different way to manage the music library, moving the
display from the receiver to the remote?
How does the sound compare?
Any improvements over dear old SB?
New features?
thanks for your time,
-Gian
--
gian
also, what about SqueezeCenter?
I guess SlimServer is not developed anymore?
Should I move to SC even if I only have SB3s?
I would prefer to stick with SS, since I spent a lot of time to learn
how to install it on my Ubuntu box...

competitors should only try to match.
Logitech, on the other side, is an icon for cheap hardware with no

It's really sad.

Mark,
I bought it direct from Slim, but I'm pretty sure that warranty is
expired...I had to wait summer holidays to find two full days to setup
the whole thing... I am not a linux guru, so that's what it took, but
I'm glad it works, at least here where the stereo system is.

Mark,
I've been fiddling with Netstumbler but:
- can only use NDIS mode, so as far as I know, the card in not fully
supported (only signal strenght but no noise).
- I am able to see just one device, which I believe is the AP. There is
no trace of my SB2. Is this correct ?
--
gian
Niko,
one of the strong points of SB2 was WPA security... I would not remove
it, although chances of being hacked are thin.
As far as your question, my SB2 is streaming radio without hiccups and
the signal is 33-36%.
