Re: [slim] FM Radio
I have a Pi 3B v1.2 with 2 SDR radios on it. One is a dump1090 ADS-B receiver where decoding and tuning are done by the Pi. The other uses rtl-tcp which sends data to SDR# on my windows desktop for decoding. Any tips > appreciated. Something about subnets, mentioned above ? Reading up on > this now. What are available/recommended ranges for subnets ? This is far from simple its not just the ovpn files that will need attention. It will be about routing and DNAT/SNAT The PIA VPN will be sending and receiving data via piping it through to the VPN provider, your network's gateway address will route the traffic to the VPN. However the VPN Server will be needing access to the WAN address on the router and will want to route outgoing traffic from the LMS server also via the the gateway address. I havent thought about it deeply but look like you'd need to do at least some DNAT/SNAT and static routes Drawing a diagram with ports, ip addresses and routes would probably help you figure it out Jeff *Players:* SliMP3,Squeezebox3 x3,Receiver,SqueezeLite-X,PiCorePlayer x3 *Server:* LMS Version: Latest Nightly on Centos 8.0 VM on ESXi 6.5.0U3 on Dell T320 *Plugins:* AutoRescan/BBCiPlayer/PowerSave/PowerSwitchIII/Squeezecloud/Spotty/Player Groups *Remotes:* iPeng9/Orangesqueeze/PC/Jivelite/SqueezeLite-X *Music:* 522GB,1.5K albums with 25K songs by 5K artists mostly FLACs *Want a webapp ?* See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104305-Webapp-for-LMS ---- Jeff07971's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=49290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111207 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Any thoughts? The "4m[terminated]" is a known problem. I don't know why but all is fine with VM's but not with physical machines Yes Networking is not enabled by defualt, you can change this with nmtui at the prompt. I would reccommend a minimal install whichever distro you choose as the Tranquil will probably be quite light on RAM The SSD option would be a good idea as you have a relatively small collection and a 250GB SSD is fairly cheap I would suggest you use the HDD to start with to make sure everything works OK before spending on a SSD Good Luck Jeff *Players:* SliMP3,Squeezebox3 x3,Receiver,SqueezeLite-X,PiCorePlayer x3 *Server:* LMS Version: Latest Nightly on Centos 7.5 VM on ESXi 6.5.0U2 on Dell T320 *Plugins:* AutoRescan/BBCiPlayer/PowerSave/PowerSwitchIII/Squeezecloud/Spotty/Player Groups *Remotes:* iPeng9/Orangesqueeze/PC/Jivelite/SqueezeLite-X *Music:* 522GB,1660 albums with 23087 songs by 5204 artists mostly FLACs *Want a webapp ?* See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104305-Webapp-for-LMS ---- Jeff07971's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=49290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110583 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

If the power is left on the problem goes unoticed untill the power fails then the PSU will not start up (or blows the fuse or switching transistor) This has happened to me many times, one notable one was a stack of 4 Dell network switches all running fine untill a turn off for maintenance.
