My aim is to control SB3 connected to LMS 7.7.4.
I need only to control, not to play.
Most important is support of Triode Spotify plugin.
1) Windows 7 PC. Is my choice limited to laggy web UI and Squeezeplay
(which is rather player than cntroller)
2) Android device. What are advantages of
Squeezeplay is also a 'controller'.
It gives you the same interface as a Touch for any player on your
network.
But a laptop is probably not the ideal way of controlling other players.

I would guess on the Surface Pro you could use SqueezePlay. It's UI is
much the same as a Duet controller and the Touch UI. On RT you could
always use a web browser. I actually quite like using a browser where I
have enough screen real estate.

I pulled out the ethernet cable and soon after the controller asked if I
wanted to connect wirelessly or via ethernet, I selected wireless and

The easiest way would be to use the web interface of the server. Just
point the web browser on your netbook to http://192.168.0.2:9000
(replace the IP-number with the appropriate for the machine running
Squeezebox Server in your network).
Another way would be to install a client on your netbook.
Welcome. What you want to do is easy. Just open a web browser on the
netbook and point it at http://server_ip:9000/, replacing server_ip
with the actual IP address of your computer that is running SBS.
Depending on your setup you may need to adjust some settings on the
server's firewall.

Are you sure? I was told by logitech support that ALL of them were under
support until April 1st. They sent me a new battery, and said to call back
before the 31st to ensure the warranty was still in affect.

The scrolling got much easier with 1.2 and I don't think you can still
get confused about the sync direction.
The iPeng update is free but you'd need the iPod firmware update to 3.0
or later which is $5.

Hardware buttons. That is the main advantage.
In theory the Controller has the advantage that it is always a
Squeezebox Controller, i.e. you pick it up and use it, rather than
having to pick up the iPod and load the right app. In practice because
the Controller has to take aggressive power
You can use the SBC to set up the SB Duet Receiver (SBR). If you have an
SBR but not an SBC, you can use the Net::UDAP utility to setup the SBR.
The utility works fine for most people, but some find it beyond their
abilities or comfort levels. Obviously this is only relevant if you have
an SBR,

suspend timing setting. If I set it to 2400 or 3600 seconds it appears
to ignore the setting and suspend after 20 minutes or so. I really

For me a big plus with the Controller is that it can be fairly easily
tweaked (by adding an applet) to provide IR control for your amp (volume

running on a jailbroken 3Gs. Its a great solution and works flawlessly.

When I leave the controller on a static menu (such as the home one) it
sounds fine so far.
If I select the Now Playing option from the home menu I get the
