The source code is all available on svn. The builds were stripped of
the excess source since it made for very large downloads. It also
eCost is horrible.
I was completely unsuccessful in getting them to accept a defective
return. I had to reverse my credit card.

They have done massive changes over the last month.
The time to get the hardware manufactured (in a sweat chop in the far
east I assume )and delivered to your doorstep it must have taken some
months.
I wild guess is that the delivered firmware is
Trefork, no response from the developers here on the forum? That's
interesting for sure. I know they are probably very busy getting ready
to launch all this stuff, but this is certainly bizarre.

Not really - Slim Devices have always had an absolute policy of not
commenting on products before they are officially launched and Logitech
seems to take the same approach.
Before the Boom was launched, a retailer or sales rep dropped the bomb
pretty effectively by posting photos of himself
