It doesn't matter if you buy today or in a couple of weeks. If there are hardware defects that made it through the beta test and into the final product it won't be just a matter of weeks until they're fixed. In today's appliances a lot of things can be controlled from firmware. Bugs in the

Maybe it's just me... But I always feel kinda nervous buying a brand new product. What if bugs are present in the hardware ? No firmware can address that, right ? Do you feel it's safer to wait a few weeks ? Or am I totally paranoid ? -- AlexV

The SBR shares most of its hardware with the SB3 and the SB2. The SB2 was released in April 2005. The codecs and some functions are all done in a field programmable gate array. So there's a whole lot that's reprogrammable. Also - the SBC and SBR have been through a very intensive beta test
