An OO novice, I'm trying to page number a text document but don't want to
have the cover sheet numbered. I just can't work this out even after read
the online help :(
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason not working for me Tony. These are the steps I'm taking:
1. Move cursor to end of coversheet
2. Insert Manual Break Page Break OK
3. Format Paragraph
4. Select the Text Flow tab.
5. Check Insert
6. Check With Page Style
7. Set Page_number to 1
8. Click

You need the cursor before the very first thing on the new page. This
may not be the same
and paste from various
programs. The second page of my template appears as 2, but I think I could
change that. So far have never wanted to.

Carl

Sorry if I am in the wrong place with this suggestion or if it has been made
before. I've
of the
screen toolbar on the vista. Don't know how excel does it. I also run
Firefox and KompoZer at the same time and copy and paste as I see fit.
Hopes this helps,

Hello,

This has been suggested before. Don't worry, I made the same mistake
you did, but there is a website for this reason.

Sorry if I am in the wrong place with this suggestion or if it has been made
before. I've only started using OO and today had the need to use multiple
sheets. What would be nice is to see the names of the sheets on each sheet
or better still on tabs like MS does it in Excel. Is this possible?
Dear Adam:
Yes this is not only possible but a lot more.
In the page formatting area there are sub-panels for each of the heardes
and footers. Added to that, each of these has separate spaces for left,
center and right justified content.
Each of these 6 areas can then contain almost any
