I have a SB3 that has recently decided it should turn itself off during

Is your computer going to sleep?

I think poor reception is a frequent problem with WiFi devices that have
Radio and do not have an external antenna.
If you look at the Roku forums you'll see there are plenty of users who
complain about the Roku's poor AM performance and who have to attach an
external antenna for FM.
I have the
There is a known issue with flac files compressed at more than -5 from

With regard to the large hard drive problem in old macs, does upgrading

still need to fix it otherwise...
Thanks.

No the computer isn't going to sleep, which is why I was stumped.
But of course it didn't turn off last night after I turned on the

I just went upstairs to confirm that my router is a Netgear DG834PN, and
the firmware is at 1.03.30.
I'm using WPA-PSK, and the Squeezebox has never had any problems with
it. I recently changed to channel 13 (from 11) and it all still works.
There's always one isn't there...!

In addition to the great music server aspects of hearing all the tunes I
own through SB3's, the SqueezeNetwork capabilities have added a whole
new dimension to radio listening in my home, where FM reception (not to
mention the content quality of commercial radio stations) is poor.

Looks awesome. Hopefully the hands-on is wrong about the slider being
too close to the keyboard and not being able to type on the top row
very well.

Hi,
Had a quick search around but couldn't find anything. Is there plans to
support the upcoming release of Leopard, 10.5 on Mac or will the current
version work already?

I have used two SBs on my n/w for years with no problems but my new SB3

rebuffering.
I know this is not my n/w setup as I have 2 other SBs v1 and v2 running
fine alongside. It happens whether wired or wireless. It happens

We will support it, but since none of us has a copy yet we will have to

Strange, I've seen this behaviour myself (although it was with surround
track, so there was a lot of data to decompress) but I'm pretty sure
this has been mentioned a number of times in other threads.
Maybe I'm getting confused with the issue of files encoded with an old
ogg library.

Bummer I bought an N800 about 4 months ago and it's been largely

I have heard this in relation to the Flake FLAC 3rd-party encoder at
-9 or -10 compression.
I've experienced this myself with 24/96 FLACs with ReplayGain and the

16/44.1 FLAC at -8.

Hi,
any chance you have a periodic rescan of music library set up? Or some
other task that hogs your music server from time to time?

The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will
improve. DVD performance will also increase substantially.
I just copied the whole /program files/slimserver tree onto the new
machine and then installed slimserver. Everything survived - settings,
plugins, configuration.
