way to achieve this? I've previously done it manually
but it's frustrating when these settings get lost due to server
upgrades (or more likely just me fiddling with things) so I figure
there must be a quicker way of doing this

the setup on my players
and I like the fact that it can clone the player settings plus the
random mix settings.
The only thing that confused me was when I ticked the 'server' box and
overwrote my player name settings but that was quickly resolved!

Hmm, good idea :)
Once I had connected to SqueezeNetwork the display fixed itself right
away.
The weird thing is it stayed ok when I connected back to my
squeezecenter afterwards.
Previously the display had stayed corrupt through power cycles and ever
forcing a firmware reload.

the
same form as the transporter remote but just not backlit, both look
great.
The backlighting on the transported remote is very useful when
listening with the lights dimmed and the new form is much better than
the old style remote :)

a different keypad.
The backlit remote is excellent for listening at night, I would
recommend it to anyone.

I find Tag Rename a good product for this as it uses Amazon to
populate all parts of the ID3 tag including artwork if required
I find it well worth whatever I paid to register it as it can do pretty
much anything you can think of.

I'm a huge fan of AlienBBC, I'm anazed the userbase is as small as
suggested above.
Maybe the author(s) should put up a donations page. This is one of the
few things I would be more than happy to pay/donate for!

but it
would be cool to have a native app with the performance benefits that
would hopefully bring.. Will it be able to control plugins, i.e.
AlienBBC? That would be a big plus for me.

I'm mailed Audioengine themselves but they haven't got back to me. I'll
see what the Ecodigital have to say tomorrow.
The service from Ecodigital was superb btw - ordered at lunchtime and
received the speakers the next day so they can't be faulted so far :)

A good solution if you already have a server for your Squeezecenter (or
a ReadyNAS or similar)

should try Logitech Support but I don't hold out too much hope that
they will be able to do much and I figured I'd see what the likely cause
is first.
It's not put me off the devices as I'm about to order a SB radio for

Just downloaded and looks great :)
You have obviously put a lot of work into using the extra screen area,
I even like the ocular scheme.
The only downside is I need to rescan some of my artwork to take
advantage of the extra resolution!

I've been gathering high res artwork 1000x1000 or greater where I can

How strong do you think Sonos are though? I can't see much of a future
for them unless they get acquired by Amazon or Apple. I know they are in

Wow, good times, thanks for all the effort you have put in.
I must have used all the Peng versions and it's still my main way of
playing music, maybe 60% iPeng and 40% via spotify and airplay bridge.
Did you mention a new version soon? I'd be happy to pay some more for a
new version with iPhone

I read that Sonos are going to implement airplay2 for supported models,
surely that opens up an option?
