The Drake relays (P&B / TYCO R10-E1-Y4-V2.5) are rated for 2A, 3A max at
155 VAC (220V peak). Insulation / contact breakdown is 1 kV. Contacts
are rated 3 x 10^4 operations at 2A. The mechanics are rated for 100
Million operations!

Jim,
I just looked at the 30L-1 skem. All you're doing is grounding the
antenna relay in the amp, which is fed with approx. -120vdc. It
probably doesn't draw half an amp. Actually, looking at the parts list,
the coil is 10,000 ohms with 2,000 ohms across it, so you do the ohms

I installed the soft-key kit from Harbach into my 30L1. I have used it with the
most fragile (minimal voltage/current) rigs with out a problem. The kit was
something around $35.

Greetings Gentlemen,
Does anyone have any thoughts on keying a Collins 30L1 with a Drake t4XC ?
The keyline voltage on the amp is 170v don’t know what current it might
draw but can measure that if I buy the amp.
Does anyone know if the Drake TR relay can safely handle this or if it is
