The sticky cabinet was used on early production runs of 7 line gear like the
TR-7, MN-2700, etc. Later runs used a harder, darker paint. Some people
have bought the later version cabinet for retrofit. Keeping the sticky
cabinets clean is a chore though some have developed ways to clean it

Having used the noise blankers in the R4C, TR-7, TR-7A, R-7, and R-7A, I can
say that they were not intended to suppress atomospheric noise, QRM, etc. and
do not in fact do so. They were, however, intended to reduce the effect of
pulse type ignition noise from cars, lawn mowers, etc. but
to the ARRL area.

The bleeders have a failure rate between 60-75% in the supplies I've rebuilt.?
In the older supplies, the diodes had marginal voltage and current ratings; I
