Michel,
The shadows became white for me on my Radeon 8500 (r200) after upgrading
to a DRI snapshot recently. I hadn't upgraded BillardGL at all.
I think it's some change in the DRI snapshot that's causing it, not a
BillardGL bug...

2.9 hangs my computer but with foobillard-2.8 and with # ./configure
--enable-nvidi
