C:\HAM\DX4W503\EXTDATA\QSL.BAT is what I use.
The idea is to place all of the text to be displayed into manager.res.
When I get a chance, I'll write a little REXX program to extract data from a
file and output it to manager.res.

One way that I used successfully to separate SSB contacts from CW/RTTY
contacts for K1B was:
1. Eliminate the manager in the QSO window (I substituted an "*")
2. Using a filter select all phone contacts and change all the QSL blocks to
confirmed = "Y"
3. Print labels - all QSOs marked "confir

Like many on the reflector, I've been a DX4WIN owner since the
very early 1.X versions. Over the years, this subject has
come up many times.
In all these years of using the program, I've made many changes
to the country database. Enough that I believe that the common portion

I would be glad if you could simply purchase this service from go-list
(K1XN) or someone else that would keep it very current.
ON4AOI provides a nice database (of unknown origin - but quite large in
size) service at n/c on his web site, but keeping qsl managers really up to

I am using DX4WIN, and I have few questions I need
help on...
I recently changed my callsign. What is the procedure
to chnage the registration when I open the program?
Also, if I create a new logfile with my new callsign,
can I merge this new logfile with my old logfile
(former callswign)?

I was thinking more about the QSL Manager and QSL Manager Address databases.

Hello all,
Again, I say, '"If you can afford a computer and a piece of logging

The way DX4WIN's country file is set up, if you just download a
new version from time to time, you will lose any customization
(callsign exceptions) you've entered. In my case, I have lots of
obsolete Russian calls (and some others) from the 70s entered,

Gee, what a wonderful analogy! In fact, 10 years ago, I bought a Murray rider

$2500 for a John Deere to replace it! Anyone care to recommend the John Deere

Am I wrong to think that the country database file from version 5 is
compatible with version 4? If so, it wouldn't be hard for the DX4WIN guys
The original poster was a bit cocky, but it isn't unreasonable to expect
updated database files on the website. Most other logging programs vendors
do it. While I'm computer literate and know how to maintain the files, I
shouldn't have to wade through reflector archives or subscribe to a

I paid for a ride-on lawnmower, version 4, but I don't seem to get
anything in the way of lawn mowing support.
Does anyone out there have a reasonably competent lawnmower
guy they can supply?
I'm not a big gun Lawnmowing person. I just putter around and
mow the lawn every once in a while. So

Many moons ago, I imported all of my files from CT into DX4WIN...The problem
was that one or two of these files were duplicate. Is there an easy way,
without endangering my log, to delete those QSOs that are exactly identical?
Please reply directly.
Thanks,
