In my preferences packet 3 I have 144mhz un-checked but I'm still getting
144Mhz spots in my packet window? Should DX4WIN be ignoring these 144Mhz
spots and not indicating them in the packet window?

I agree with you that the summary country window will follow the
incoming spots in real-time. However the highlighted box
Peter, what you propose *could* be made to work if DX4WIN isn't reading the
frequency directly from the radio (via the serial port). However, I don't
see how it can be made to work if DX4WIN *is* reading the frequency from
the radio. It has to pick the one most likely to be used to log a QSO.
It's got the one I've been waiting for - NEW BAND. Thanks!

That should work in the current version already.
When you are adding real-time, and the callsign field is empty,
the summary windows reflect the current selected spot.
