Pete, somehow you must have clicked on Reports | (some award) | Submission.
Sometimes I do that to see what will be generated -- but, I then close
DX4WIN WITHOUT SAVING! You should be able to reset the submission flags
with Reports | Change Award Flags.

Tnx for the reply Jim,
RRR, I found the beeps are controlled in Win sound conf (Start, control
panel, sounds and audio devices) in XP)
I believe, I was told an audio file must be written in DX4win for CW
Announce. The phone is there already and that works.

In all honesty, I don't know, but I think it's supposed to come out of the
sound card speakerse.

Hi Sig,
I have had the exact thing happen when I accidentally ran two versions
of DX4WIN. The second one runs but with the behavior you described.
Been bit and tried to reconstuct the qsos for manual entry.

Hello, Can someone tell me with latest version, does the CW Announce come
through the stereo speakers, or is it still internal to small computer
speaker?
Thanks, Bernie/WO2N.>
I opened up the empty 'master calls' lookup window and closed it ...
now it only provides the error message when I try to open the Master Calls
in the QSO/WINDOWS menu and since there are no 'master calls' in the
master file..there is no file. Then, and only then I get the error , which

I have seen this too, Sig. If you had looked at the
topline of the window likely it would have

is to just close it and reopen the program and it 'fixes' it.
I have seen Access violations error boxes

I was looking just now at my DXCC listing report, and was surprised to see
a large number of S's, appearing to indicate that I had submitted
QSLs. The only problem is that I haven't submitted any QSLs since before I
started using DX4WIN, so I'm at a loss to understand the meaning. I

Very interesting -- According to the LOTW website I have 5172 confirmed
QSOs. According to DX4WIN, when I downloaded my report and imported it
into my log, I set 5171 Upl Cnf flags to "y". Not that it really matters
as long as it's not the P5, but I wonder why the discrepancy?

Joe,
I agree with Ernie, that's exactly what I had to do!
Good luck

Move your 'callbk' directory to the root of C drive, "C:/callbk". Then set in
prefrences for "QRZ CD ROM", and data directory as "C:" with nothing else. It
will then find the data.

Tony,
Easy enough to do. It's part of my regular set-up.
The "Same Call" window (that's the name in the menu; the window itself is
titled "Other QSOs"), the "Conf" column shows the status of confirmation and
the "QSL Date" column shows whether you've QSL'd before.
You can also show these column
It has happened to me also.
I solve it as follows
I copied a new yourcall.ini file from a backup directory where i have saved
it
to original position in dx4win directory.
It seems something was happened to original file.
