If you have measured DX4Win polling at 500ms please describe how you are
doing that. The last time I experimented with polling, any Preferences
setting below 2000ms was software-adjusted so that it never polled faster
than every 2 seconds.

I’ve been using MMTTY with DX4WIN for years.
Now I want to try PSK-31.
I got stumped on the first step in the setup of PSK31 in DX4WIN manual.
With the PSK31 window open I see no signals or noise on the displays.
As a test, if I switch to the MMTTY window I see noise. I can change the

Hi Larry,
In fact, I have never checked the real polling rate, but in preferences I have
set it to 500ms and supposed it polls the radio at that rate. Now, when you
asked, I counted number of polls of my FT1000MP on its CAT blinking indicator
and it blinked 30 times in 32 seconds, i.e. 1 per
Hi Joe,
I have created
an additional port for CAT 2 and set Omni-rig to this port with 1200 ms polling
time (DX4WIN polls each 500ms). All works fine except when I select both Sync
from Omni-Rig and Sync to Omni-rig to be able to set TX to RX-ed frequency but
also to set RX frequency by clicking
NOW: I had an idea to make at least the spotting click work via the
CAT control from DX4WIN to HDSDR: Radio 1 preferences of DX4WIN were
set to Kenwood (protocol supported by HDSDR) on CAT COM 11 (created
by Router) and the HDSDR option was configured to control HDSDR on
the same CAT port.
Will DX4WIN export a log file in Cabrillo format? If so I haven't found out
how to do it.
I see in the export window there is a myriad of export file types but no
Cabrillo.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bottom line... Can't be done from DX4Win.
You can do it though by taking the ADIF file from DX4Win and using one of the
conversion programs to covert that file to a Cabrillo file for a specific
contest. See Jim's - AD1C website I believe for the conversion program.
The reason is a lot of the

You can download it from:

I updated the master callsign database for DX4WIN. It now uses the
master callsigns derived from the ClubLog database. You can download
it from here:

Better yet, use the DX4WIN Data Updater:

I updated the DX4WIN Membership List on 25 June 2013:

The DX4WIN country file, DX4WIN.CTY Release #123 is now available from:

You can read the release notes at:

You can (and should) use the DX4WIN Data Updater to update the file:
Nope, will not. Not a contesting program per the author (other than the
minor ability it has). Cabrillo needs special headers and format for each
contest so would be too much worth anyway. Contest in another program (e.g,
N1MM) and export ADIF from that and import into DX4WIN. You can output
