[Dx4win] Radio Control issues
I upgrade to 8.04 I also switched PC's. Pulled all ini files etc to new PC all is working well...rotor controls, internet etc. Where I'm running into conflict is in the radio control. Let me preface this by saying the rig control is working as it should in all other programs I use. Writelog, MMTTY..etc What is happening is this...WHILE I tune the radios frequency knob...The cursor blinks and freq reads as it should. If I STOP tuning..cursor stops blinking and radio times out. I made NO changes to the rig settings and as a stated I used the ini file from my other pc. Anyone with some thoughts? Re: [Dx4win] Radio Control issues
Kirk, Have you ever made any changes to the rig control files? I changed the baud rate in the rig control file (in 8.04) and when I updated to 8.05, I didn't copy the new rig control file, so the radio didn't work. Good luck. 73, Bud N7CW -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of N0KK,Kirk Sent: Friday, February 04, 2011 5:29 PM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Radio Control issues I upgrade to 8.04 I also switched PC's. Re: [Dx4win] Radio Control issues
Kirk, Check your radio settings in Preferences. For whatever reason, importing a previously saved ini file does NOT set these settings. They're all default - even after an import. Would help if you mentioned the radio. All drivers are not the same. On 2011-02-04 19:28, N0KK,Kirk wrote: I upgrade to 8.04 I also switched PC's. Re: [Dx4win] Radio Control issues
My preferences under the radio tab are as follows. (It is what they have been for years) Type: ICOM 756 PRO III Address: 6E Baud: 9600 Both the default boxes are checked. Though this has no effect on operation Com port settings are correct. Radio 1 is com 3, radio 2 is com 7. Poll rate is currently at 5000ms. I usually keep it at 1000ms though. Max tries is 5 DTR is set to high. Transverter offset is 0 Band none Other than the COM settings, I have both radios set the same for ease of operation between programs and has worked flawlessly for several years. One other item of note. It is not reading the mode correct either. KK On 2/4/2011 6:55 PM, N0KK,Kirk wrote: My preferences under the radio tab are as follows.
