amazingly enough - this area is something i've been thinking about
lately. i can think of some points that i'd love to hear some discussion
on.
1. you need to know that the place sending you the rates is
the real e-gold system.
2. it would be nice if the e-gold system had some kind
to see if it matches a pending transaction from your end.
2. check the hash.
3. use the history automation interface to query your e-gold account
history using PAYMENT_ID for extra verification of the spend.
performing just #2 is not bad, adding #1 and #3 give you
any extra confidence you want.
