Hi All,
On a SAMSUNG, I am using CSipSimple to access to Ekiga and to Diamond.
CSipSimple, in its "Call Options" has an "Auto record calls" option.
Hope this may help.

Hi,
Unfortunately, Ekiga does not allow call recording.You will have to use
software like Asterisk or Freeswitch for that.
Recording soundcard input/output might be the easiest way. I never
tried, but you can find some interesting links on the Web:https://askub

This little app does just what I want - lets me dial a point to point sip
call.
But now, how can I record that call (audio recording?) I'm trying to make
some recordings of calls using different codecs to create a comparison.

Hi
I was looking into alsa to find a place where to get the list of pcm devices
1) "aplay -l" gives you the list of hardware devices
2) "aplay -L" gives you the list of pcm devices
It achieves this by "snd_config_search(..., "pcm", ...) (btw, as I
read in the bug report

I've found a way to use the pcm.tee device in alsa to record the local
sound produced by Ekiga.
Here is my .asoundrc
pcm.hardware {
type hw
card 0
device 0
}
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave {

What about the "file" plugin of ALSA? Supposedly, it would allow you
to record what you hear, then you can record with "arecord" your voice
in an other file, provided you are using the dmix plugin.
There is an example here

The new JACK device appears in other programs' lists (wengophone,
twinkle), but not in ekiga's.

Hi,
It's not that hard to build VoIP.. ;-)
There's also a script here for recording skype which may be able to be
adjusted.
