I just received from Elecraft, confirmation that my two K3's factory

The FM filter's bandwidth is 13 kHz wide, not 12. This becomes important

Hello, Oms!
The K3 Utility copies the hfwnotes.rtf file into your local firmware folder
along with the firmware files whenever you copy new firmware files from the
Elecraft FTP server. It should be in the folder shown in the local folder

I was told yesterday that my K3 kit ordered 4/11/08 would most likely be
shipped 4 months 3 weeks after the order date or about September 1st. I
thought this info would be helpful to all who ordered around that time.
As always Elecraft was quick, professional and friendly with their response.
Does it have to be shipped upside down to work properly in Australia

The most cost effective general purpose CW filter is the 500 Hz. I have one

However, please be advised that

Please note that using AFX features in that configuration is known to

I think Doug has hit the nail on the head. For casual CW, just use the

Well I have to say this implementation of NR for me is the best yet!
I listen to weak CW almost exclusively and it works really well.
Gone is the big reduction in audio when engaging NR and the CW signal really
