I down loaded the Beta 2.46 version with no glitches. I haven't noticed so far any problems created by it. However, when using the Noise Gate function, after quieting the back ground noise, in between words I hear a crackling or static sound in the headset. I haven't spoke with someone yet

According to the manual, it should be an NPO with markings of 2R7, 3, 3.3, or 3R3.  The picture shows one of those round NPO caps.  I can't find it.    I do have a very very small, pillow-shaped NPO marked 2.7C.  It's blue, not dark green.  It does not have a black mark on top.  The markings do

K2 gurus: I have a K2 with 160m mod, DSP, NB Into a dummy load, I have good power out on all bands in TUNE, and CW Mode. In L/USB I ONLY have good power out on 80 and 40m determined by the whistle test and weekly check-ins to several nets(LSB only) Other bands are either very low or 0 watts out.

As a side-note; when I turn on SPKR+PH, the right-side of my phones goes quiet - receive audio moves to left only. Is this normal/expected?? Yes, if SPKRS=1 which should be the case if you are using the internal speaker. This forces mixing of all audio to the left (monophonic) channel. The

Stewart, There is no band dependency in the KSB2, so your problem is most likely associated with your filter setting for SSB FL1, particularly the USB BFO setting. While the settings given in the KSB2 manual are usually a good starting point, they are not optimum for any one particular set
