Looks like you have pointed me in the right direction. I had not done the
wattmeter calibration as the manual implies that it is optional. That plus
the usual inaccuracies in the average wattmeter I decided to accept the
factory settings. This morning I did the procedure and thus far

I wish everyone with broken/cracked knobs would just ask Elecraft to send
them a set of new knobs. They are much better than the old ones. Maybe the
endless traffic about this already beat to death subject would cease!

Thank you for taking he time to take the measurements nd pass them along. I
said in my previous post that I had calibrated the wattmeter and it seemed
to help. Well, it did help some but not enough to completely eliminate high
current warnings and subsequent power reductions.

Have I tapped the wrong button somewhere? Suddenly I have to set the MON
level around 40 to get a decent sidetone on CW. I don't think it was
that high before.
