Ross the only way I can simulate that behavior on my P3 is by disconnecting
the P3 to K3 cable. Doing so causes the bootloader screen to come up
immediately when trying to do a ref lvl adjustment. You may have a loose
cable or pin not making connection?

I have been trying to figure out why someone would want a
700Hz filter myself.
When I want to tune CW casually, I use my 8 pole 1.8 SSB
filters in the main and sub and tighten the DSP to around
700-800Hz. Good dual use filter for me, very versatile!

I guess there was no good answer. I will conjecture though that if you use
the Line Out connection to the sound card in your computer, you could sample
the DVR playback with whatever audio recording utility you may have, save it

OK ... never use it with the KRX2. However, it does not cause
the P3 to stop tracking the K3 or cause the markers to stop
responding to the encoder. What I see is that activating REV
causes the P3 Center Frequency to become decoupled from the K3

The CW to Data is a VERY neat feature. Nice way to be able to work RTTY with
my currently minimal setup. However, the 4 second idle at the end of the
xmsn is WAY too long. I understand the ..-- option to end it, but a CONFIG
setting to adjust it would be great to have.

As a suggestion, it would be nice if the P3 would automatically reset itself
when the sub receiver is invoked (guess this would require the K3 to report
this out, so not sure how feasible this is!).

You can make your choice of several software applications - MMTTY,
fldigi, HRD/DM780, and several others - AFSK or FSK will be part of your
decision.
Download each of the applications and take a look at the user interface
and choose the one you like better.
After that, yes, you will
