[Elecraft] Getting higher gain from input of line in or rear panel mic on K3

I am trying to get set up for JT9 in Data A mode; I am not getting enough drive from the sound card to adequately drive the K3. I am wondering (but cannot figure out from the manual) how to achieve this using either Line In or the rear mic jack when in Data A, and get more gain, but not use

Dragan, Since you have tested 2 computer soundcards with similar results, I suggest you contact Elecraft support for further clues to troubleshooting and resolution. It still sounds to me that the computer speaker level may be too low for some reason. If you can get the normal 5 to 7 bars

Hi Don, When I connect PC line-out to rear MIC, it is a little bit better. Well, a bit better, I'd say. However, I'm not sure if it works properly. Namely, when I give to K3 a steady tone, say 1500 Hz from PC, ALC is "pulsing" and I cannot adjust it properly (3 or 4 bars + 5th flickering). Tone

Need to thin the herd a bit to make way for a K3S. Want to sell an Orion 1 with antenna tuner and factory accessory speaker. Also has 600 Hz roofing filter and factory-replaced LCD display (blue-white.) Non-smoker (not even tobacco...HI!) I don't "do" e-Bay so am unaware of the value of this
