Most of the resistors in the K3 are 0603 size, some are 0805. I used all
0805 when doing the recent mods, including the KSYN3 ALC and line audio out
mods. They fit fine for me.

My understanding is that the KPA100 needs communications from the K2 via the
auxbus to operate. It was not intended to work with other rigs.
That said, maybe someone with actual experience will chime in with another

Don't expect to see any -firm- word on this for a while. Once the KRX3 is in
routine production, the 'brain-trust' will turn it's attention toward this
one. Perhaps by the Fall contest season? Should be much less of a design
effort needed than the RX project.

This is supposed to be extended downward in a

Look on the bottom of the paddle casing (once you remove it from it's base).
You will see a round button near the front of the unit. While pressing in
this button, push the paddle assembly from the rear, where the wire
connects. This will allow the mechanism to slide out the front for
K3 kit s/n 559 ordered 7/25/07, shipped 3/4/08, arrived 3/7/08.

I got my Katiegram today from Aptos. A K3 kit with many options, ordered
7/27/07 to be shipped within 7-10 days.
I took note of the price increases back in January, and those posted today.
By ordering when I did, I saved a total of $200 plus. I am pleased with my
decisions.
