I could use someone's help - to understand the
"resistance" measurement values, at the end of each
PCB's completion in manual. I tried making readings
with an analog VM and got values too small for some of
them.
At a K2 builder's recommendation - I bought an
auto-ranging DVM.

Hi -
I'm getting outfitted for K2 # 5422. Holy moly -
so far I bent a lead over soldering in control
board's U10, and dropped the LCD display onto a
tile floor, cracking the seam. What's a fella
to do? Parts guys are coming to my rescue.
I secured a auto-ranging Digital MM and a ESD static

I'm building K2 #5422, doing Front Panel board now!
I seem to be MISSING the two (2) 3/4" (19mm) LONG

No were to be found, as far as I can see. WHAT DO

I'm building K2 # 5422 now, and am doing the Front
Panel board.
I believe the parts you are referring to, belong with
the KSB2 option, when and if you ever install one.

As a new builder of K2 # 5422, and newbee here - the
Elecraft "list" or BB - still puzzles me in how it
works?
1. How does one "post" a REPLY to a current listing
that they read?
2. It almost seems that there should be a POST or
REPLY button feature on the site?

I've seen a lot of "anti-hazard" warnings here and

sell anti-static pads, wrist straps, wrist straps
with series megohm protection - but none ever
mention where these devices are supposed to pick
up a reliable earth ground? Or don't they

Hi Elecraft K2 Experts :)
I've started building K2 # 5422, and have finished
Control Board.
Couple of dumb questions - might keep my "ship" on
course:
1. What is "numbering convention" of standard IC
packages - starting
with Pin 1 - does numbering go down that side and wrap
back on other
side,
As a newbee - I see a wealth of information about Elecraft products,
on this "list". Unless I'm missing something - this "list" isn't the
easiest forum I've used. It seems to be reliant on our personal
email systems - with little more than an "email checker" for incoming
posts. Or am I missing
I just ordered a new K2 Kit ... rarring (sp?) to go! :)
Where does one download and get "Spectrogram" and what do I
need to use it and make it work?
I'm trying to get all my building/testing ducks in order.
Thanks, 73's

I read on one of the YAHOO GROUPS (elecraft group),
that Elecraft Inc. is coming out with a KX1
Transceiver upgrade for 80 meter
operation? This would give the KX1 80, 40 and 20
meter
operation. Has Elecraft Inc. mentioned this yet?
