I have seen this before when the 2.5mm key line jack just needed pushed home.
Rx without the key line causes the front LEDs to flash.

The words blur and mush are confusing to me. The effect I heard whilst

A very slight raise in the noise floor then a random partial letter a few
seconds later.
If this is what is meant by blur and mush then I have noticed the
effect. I was

believe the quoted 4-5 week lead time estimate on the website. A very

If I have different modes (cw/ssb) in A and B VFOs, when I press A/B the
frequency being passed to VFO A goes up 600Hz (cw) or down 600Hz (ssb) each
time A/B is pressed. Anyone else see this? What am I doing wrong?

survive with AGC-F (90 dB/S), THR 8, Slope 5 without problems (have had

The biggest remaining problem with the K3 for me is not being able to adjust

Hi Paul,
Yes, I would also like to see firmware RX EQ by mode, but I've been told
it's a long way down the Elecraft to-do list due to complexity. However a
software approach opens new possibilities limited only by the CAT port
speed.
By AF I mean the 50,100,200,400,800,1600,2400,3200Hz bands
software are normally running
on my PC.

especially for CW practice isn't necessary, simple
mind practice during everyday life when you are stuck in the 'slow lane' is
enough to get you started. When you feel you've hit a wall in terms of

Hi,
You can use the rit CLR button to reset to a flat response. I'd like to see
an equaliser memory setting for each mode. I'm getting tired of wondering
why the NR isn't working as well as usual on SSB,
Hi Rich,
I don't use the XFIL button to normalise the DSP to the Roofing filter
because it works on a cyclic basis, where up to 5 presses would be required
(dependant on roofing filters installed) to achieve normalisation. Also, One
of the presets (I or II) is active at all times and
The memories are a great feature, but I still think it could be augmented.
1) The last thing I expect to happen when normalising (1/2 sec press basic
function of the Norm button) is for the radio to switch filters, there is an
XFIL button for that if I need it. I think this has a negative
Hi,
Is there any way that I can make Norm normalise the DSP settings for the

Hi Deni,
I found that placing some tape round the chassis metal work that comes in
contact with the top panel completely cured the problem. Certain notes were
causing the top panel to vibrate against the top of chassis (no matter how
tight the screws were) and having the tape between them
to be coming to a head before formal release
(currently V2.34). I wouldn't bother with the current latest formal release
(V2.02) as it seems to be completely out of date.

You could use the following macro till this gets sorted in the firmware:

A similar macro could replace your TX SSB equaliser settings at the touch of
a button. There are more details on a previous posting for RX Equaliser on
