An idea which is not expensive, but very nice.
I like my radio tuning knob to feel soft, warm and the key to the world.
Well, I discovered Ten-Tec has a soft rubber ring which slides over the K3
knob in 10 seconds and nothing needs to be done to the K3 knob. These soft
rubber knob covers come

I'm glad to have both the K3 and Orion, not to be tacky.
Orion for weak CW DXing and the K3 for all the digital modes with MixW, 6

is a keeper for the past 8+ years. The FT-450 is an outstanding rig too.

Duane,
I too responded and thought it was a good subject since Elecraft has been
one of the leaders in recent times for lower power technology and equipment.

Hi Eric and Wayne,
Since you asked, may I suggest something which may be silly.
We all know the VFO B knob changes the menu items and the main tuning knob
does the changing within the menu. I make the mistake all the time getting
them reversed.. my problem which I can live with, but wonder if
Maybe a problem maybe not!
The K3 works fine except the speaker audio has gone away. No external
speaker and when unplugged there is no K3 speaker audio either. The
headphones work fine as every other part of the K3 does. I've not removed

Thanks,
For the many who responded to my question on hook-up for the K3 using the
digital modes, THANKS.
It works with MixW using the two cables from the in/out of the K3 to the
mic/speaker on the computer along with a serial cable for rig control. Once

Pardon for a dumb question, but I've hit that wall... again!
I talked to Dale at Elecraft and he suggested some of you may know the
answer as he had no experience with hooking up and making K3 work with a
computer so it will work using the sound card to have a full array of modes,
etc.

Several years ago someone told me about a Yaesu rubber covered knob which
would be a plus for my beloved K2 main tuning. Don't remember which Yaesu

on the K2 and I've always been happy with it.

The exchange here on the reflector is enjoyable and very much a good source
of information. I have no answers for the feedback problem with the K3 but
let me offer my situation.
There is feedback in my audio using the NCS Switcher and I have discussed it
with Doug of NCS. There is no feedb
