Lucky your that close! My K3, P:, Lp100 and kpa1500 are all wa different. I
accept the LPA100 as being correct!

I’m a newbie to six meters! Today I fired up my K3/P3 and when I went to six
meters I have a solid tone coming through the speakers. I turn off the P3 and
it goes away!
Doesn’t matter what frequency or mode on 6M.
It ONLY DOES IT on 6!
Anyone seen this before?

I recently got my K3 back from Elecraft after having an alignment and total
checkout and some hardware upgrades
I have the 2M module installed. When attempting to use it yesterday on 2M FM
and it’s only putting out 100mw’s!!!
Anyone know of a setting that needs to be checked?

Recently I purchased a 2M module with the ref osc board already in it. I had
this installed in my 2nd K3 by a very competent local ham
When going to 2M it gets a “Freq Error” on the display and neither rx’s or tx’s
Has anyone seen this error before?

I seem to have cured the problem!
ORIGINAL ISSUE was using a new W7FG 160m doublet with 600 ohm true ladder line.
The ladder line was hooked to a Balun Design 4:1 ( as recommended by the seller

I took the Balun designs 4:1 out of line and put a Dx Engineering maxi core 5kw
4:1 in its place. It tunes a little better on 160 but the KPA1500 finally
faults out and says cannot find match and shows 9:1 better than 99:1
So I put the KPA1500 straight to a 2.5kw bird dummy load and
I have 100’ long wire up 30’ and am working good stuff on 160 nightly!!

Peter thanks 10M IS the band in question! Bonding is good, using 1/2” wide
braided copper strAt for K3 and the power supply and kpa1500 are bonded
together with the same! All equip is bonded to a 10” X 24” copper plate. That
plate has #6 hard drawn copper cadwelded to it, the #6 going through

I went from a TenTec Orion to my K3 ( whose box I opened almost the very day
the K3S was announced which is total BS) and I really mis the SAF feature in
the Orion. The APF in my K3 doesn't touch it.
