I have one more 'fallback' system that might be worth mentioning here.
For those situations where I cannot be nearer to my antenna and must
deal with a longer transmission line, I use my SGC-211 remote
autocoupler. It runs for 5 years on a handful of AA batteries. It
will tune just about
I have used the Ventenna HPp, several of the PAR ENDFEDZ, my own half
wave contraptions, and random wires and counterpoises. They all *work*.
The trick is to agree on the the term *work* and I don't think that's
practically possible because there are just too many variables.

follow the same basic rules as the dipole rules. I've used them as
Inverted Vs, Inverted Ls, flat tops, and slopers. My personal favorite

supercapacitor on the KXBC3 discharged. This reset its MCU. Connected

KEY jack and got only dits, no dahs. All of my other bugs work
properly.
