I use good Sennheiser headphones - I like to listen to the audio from the
radio without additional signal modifications.
You don't need the very best - those around the $100 mark are not at all
bad, for example even these:

Simon Brown,
I alternate between a pair of light, behind the head, Walkman style
headphones and a venerable AKG headset.
Both give me clear audio. The major limiting factors at present is the
amount of noise on both 80 m and 40 m. Headphones won't clear this up,
but DSP techniques help.

This is the real killer-feature !
I'm using a closed-type (Heil Proset +) headset. When my wife comes in
the shack to ask something, and i answer her shouting QUOI ? (WHAT

At our local club and among many of the members of the BCC aviation headsets are

Any good quality headset made for computer use will work just fine. You
literally can plug-and-play into the jacks on the back of the rig. I
hooked up a foot switch and alternate between that and vox with ease

I have purchased in total 4 kits from Warren Gregoire for the last 5 years.
Two for myself (I have just worn out one in contests and expeditions) and
two for my friends. They are easy to assemble(although they sell ready made
headsets as well) and IMHO pretty good quality for the price. I never

headset, ( sllightly used) ... HMD 280 ( the d is for dynamic
mic)... work great on the k3
( and my icom)...

It is Warren Gregoire Associates and I wonder if anyone in the group has
any knowledge of how well this unit performs. If the Heil headset is
