Got mine a few days ago.
When mounting the DSP to the front panel there is a large washer over the
phone shaft.
Cannot get a tight fit between this washer and the back of the front panel.
Yes I am using the correct stand offs. Is something missing on page 34-35?

Well guys,
Problem solved (or soldered).
The small red delta TX LED was so misaligned I had to remount it, now it
all fits nicely.
For all of us living outside NA there is a minor error on page 17 where
3/16 is calculated to be 17 mm which of course is wrong, should read 4.7

Well. I put in the noise blanker, and it was recognized, but receive
was mostly deaf. I checked the caps suggested in the manual, pulled
the toroids and re-tinned them, and reheated all the solder joints
with no improvement. So I pulled the noise blanker, and tacked back

Brian,
The K2 noise blanker works well on impulse noise - such as gasoline
engine ignition noise, but it will not do much for powerline noise.
One of the best checks for KNB2 operation is to turn the preamp on and
tap on the case of Q21 with a metallic tool such as a screwdriver.

I have had problems with powerline noise... and the K2 NB can have a
big difference.
If you have many multiple sources of noise, maybe not. But here is a

Worked great on THIS example if powerline noise.
Haven't been using this lately, so I figured I'd let it find a new home.

It will be quite difficult to align the K2 if you cannot hear signals.
Besides, there is nothing much that could have changed the alignment
just by installing the KNB2.

Here is what I did
I printed out the manual and read it through several times. Even thought I did
that, some things did not make sense until I have the part in hand and could
actually see what was going on. I guess I am a visual person. I took notes
and wrote in the manual and did
Dear Dr. Werner,
The printed assembly manual that arrives with K3 is
very nicely bound, yet is monochrome. If you take the
PDF file online and print it on a color printer, the
addition of color can actually aid in the assembly
process.
Get ready to have some real fun. !!!

Hello John!
As you venture farther and farther from the Ham bands, the sensitivity of
the K3 will decrease because you'll be outside the normal response of the
standard filters.
Try a frequency far removed from a Ham band. The lower end of the AM
broadcast band is a good place, because you're
