tight fit box. Maybe that's all that's required but I was certainly surprised

On one of those rigs the power out put when I change increase or decrease it
takes some time to get up to the set power
I normaly press the tune for a while and the power goes up

What mode? If this problem is in a soundcard driven data mode, be
certain you have enough audio input to the K3 - you need to drive the
ALC indicator up to at least 4 bars and to the point where the 5th bar
has just turned on. The K3 ALC meter is actually an audio level meter

My guess is the KPA3 board pins are not making contact. You need to check
to see if the pins are gold and not silver. If they are silver, that could
be the problem.
