Does anyone know the programmers reference code that I should send to
the RS232 in order to key the rig in CW mode. DM780 is capable of
sending CW without using a WinKey or other external device. I would like

concerns. First of course is human error. The second concern is connector

Elecraft has addressed the first by using kit options on the K3/P3/KPA500 so

QSOs. Firmware is version 4.22
I set up PSK according to the instructions on the Elecraft web site. Other
than setting vox gain to 2, from 1, I had no problem getting on PSK. I did

If you look at the K3 Programmer's Reference, you will find the KY
command.
The information in that manual will give you the syntax and other info
you need to know.
Unless you are writing your own software, I suggest that you try it from
the K3 Utility terminal window.

They are side by side on the shelf and the Remote sensors are pretty much
the length of the interconnecting cable away.

I do not use the NUE-PSK Modem, but I can respond to your question about
the K2 filters.
I highly recommend that you activate the RTTY filter set (in the
secondary menu). That filter set allows you to use the SSBCr
compression setting which should always be set to 1-1. The

Does that happen with a dummy load? If it only happens with an antenna,
you have a lot of RF in the shack that should be dealt with in your
antenna system.

Unless you have very good test equipment that is calibrated then the
difference will only be subjective at best if the equipment being tested is

I know nothing about that particular amplifier, but I offer a few in
general facts.
Pops in the K3 audio while keying an amp could be a sign of hot
switching in the amplifier. Try increasing the keying delay in the K3
to see if that eliminates it. If not, check the relay pull-in time

part for C12 (.0068uF Disk or Monolithic Capacitor). Is Elecraft trying to use
this 6n8J63 for C12? I looked up data sheets on the 6n8J63 and it is an
inductor, ceramic prehaps wire wound. This can't be right?
