One of the problems with RTTY pileups, as with the other modes, is many
people call endlessly. That makes it difficult, as you won't hear (or see)
just one signal when it's time for the caller to xmit a report.

Hi,
I just completed the first stage of my K3 kit (where now calibrations etc must
be made),
but there is a 27 Ohm 1/8 W resistor in the kit, which I haven't been able to

Any ideas please?
Will the KX3 communicate as well with the P3 as the K3 does?

Don,
Checked the output on external wattmeter at 20W power setting. Output is
100W.
Removed KPA 100 and checked K2 output on 1,2,5,10 15watt settings.
Output is close to setting and transmit bargraph display shows linear
changes.
Does this confirm faulty D16 and D17?
As far as I aware Heinz, the KX3 has no IF output, so would not work with
the P3.

Don't hold your breath. I've been waiting literally for years to get
the configuration code fixed. Apparently because it works for some
folk, then it must be my fault I haven't been able to get it to work on
no less then three different computers, some with real serial ports.

Robert,
It confirms that there is something damaged in the KPA100 wattmeter
circuit, which includes more than just D16 and D17.
However, D16 and D17 are the most probable failure points, so start there.

Hi Barry,
If you are interested in a 2T H-Mode Mixer to modify other equipment, a
different parts kit to be assembled is available.
I have studied and applied mods to different commercial equipment:.. ICOM
(IC751, 761, 765, 781, 775, YAESU (FT1000MP-MK-Field, FT920), KENWOOD
(TS850, TS940),
It's highly likely that we'll design an adapter to allow the KX3 to
work with the P3.

Maybe some XP service pack changed a DLL that the program was dependent
on.
As a lark, I might try loading a 'donor' PC with an original unpatched

If yes, a resistor comes with that option. But your NEW K3 should not
need this resistor mod as it is only for older units (2009 and prior).

Before this past week I've never operated anything but SSB. But with the
