Howdy Folks,
Another scratchy, noisy night on 40 meters. But we had some fun.
Unfortunately my K2/100 decided it was time for a break and would not stay
running on 40 meters. I employed my lesser transceiver and muddled
through. Who ever would have thought they would use mechanical

all over the place. Other than trying to pick the wheat from the chaff I
was troubled by a hot radio shack and sticky skin. Kept my sending to a

buzzing. Drove me nuts; well, more so. There were a number of very light
stations so I am unsure whether I picked you all up. I am sorry but I
tried to work my way through the pileups without missing folks.

to S7 noise the entire time so my ears are ringing. Bill, K1EV, ran the

Conditions are conspiring against us but let's see what happens once
the RF hits the aether. First there is an X class flare zooming toward us
due to smack the ionosphere sometime tomorrow afternoon. The initial
effects allowed some interesting DX contacts to be made on 10

with very good signals on 20 meters. Unless you told me I could not tell
the difference between QRP and QRO signals. It was hard to believe some
of you were simply running 3 watts. It also pays to advertise. I asked
2 K2s come in handy as bookends for all of your amateur radio literature!
It just does not look right to hold your books up with one if them and a
KX1 is just not heavy enough to do the job. The 100 watt amps give the
rigs enough heft to handle a goodly number of tomes.
