When running split CW and a particularly small bandwidth setting like Span
10, the VGA monitor freq indicator is huge, and unlike the P3's screen not
as 'transparent', that is it is a distractedly prominent nearly solid red.
When I am trying to find an empty spot to transmit in a pile up, it is
it in the sky. Bummer.

I have installed a new antenna and have strange changing swr. When testing
with RigExperts meter I find good resonance at say 15m (21.200). With the K3
at 100 watts reading is 1 bar on K3 meter and 1.0 on KPA500 (STBY). When I
bring the amp online and drive it at 200 watts, all is still good even
and control
cable still came down the mast next to each other. None of these had any
affect.

Thanks for the response, Larry. I was using LP-Bridge v0.9.988 when I had the
problem with K3 v4.42 and HRD 5. I am now running LPB2, K3 v4.47 and HRD 5
and although it seems to work, I will back off of LPB2 and download your new
LP-Bridge version as you say.

interfacing the K3 directly with HRD and the problem returned. I am now back
to running HRD from the virtual port provided by LP-Bridge and so far have

I am not finding where to turn off the beep that sounds when changing the
KPA500 status from standby to operate (and back). Sometimes it gets very
'buzzy' sounding and a I would like to just turn it off. Anyone else have

First, what size fuses did you put in? There are two different ratings
supplied: 6A for 240 volt mains and 12A for 120 volt mains.
The fuses were the 12A ones (I still have the 6A ones in their unopened
envelope.)
Before you turn on the unit with the new fuses,
to wait until Tuesday to call which means I have no one to
talk to about this. That's why I am posting this hard luck story, out of
frustration. This is one Elecraft enthusiast who is really bummed out. I
hope you have better luck. I am surprised mine is so bad.

Thanks Pete, I have used filters on telnet nodes such as VE7CC, which does
read my filters. Unfortunately I cannot get the filtering to work within
HRD/LogV5. In any case, I am interested in finding out more about skimmers
