Most (/all) software will expect to talk to the WinKeyer on a separate serial port from the rig, so for that to use useful, you'd have to come up with some way to combine the traffic from/to two virtual serial ports into one real one. It's probably doable in software, but maybe non-trivial

It sure would be awesome if a user could put the internal K3s keyer into a Winkeyer emulation mode. The majority of logging software supports K1EL's command set, but not all support the Elecraft command set. Jim - KK7A On February 15, 2017 at 10:13:37 AM, Fred C. Jensen (k6...@foothill.net)

Yup, I am using a WinKeyer USB with a K3S and ACOM 1500. The WinKeyer is driven by N1MM+ and by paddles. I run the K3S in QSK mode. The K3S controls the amp key line. Works great; no problems whatsoever. Do you have specific questions? 73, Doug, W7KF http://www.w7kf.com

[Elecraft] Winkeyer - K2 ... weighting equality

2008-01-05 Thread Steve Jackson
The internal keyer in my K2 seems to have a different 'weighting' (or something) compared to my new K1EL Winkeyer. I have been playing with the settings on the latter to try and make these two devices 'sound' the same. Frankly, after 8+ years, I've grown to like the K2's rhythm in this

This is an interesting thread. I've gone the other way. I used a WB4VVF Accu-Keyer for a long time. After an overly-long layoff from HF, I started using the K2's keyer when I got my K2 (or at least tried). I just could not get used to the timing of the built-in keyer, finally deciding that

This is an easy fix. Turn off the Winkeyer sidetone and turn on the K2 sidetone. You still have to feed the Winkeyer into the K2's key jack, and you are still using the K2's keyer, although only in handkey mode. The K2 sidetone still works, so just use it. On Nov 13, 2007, at 8:35 AM,
