Look at the cable shown in the KAT100 manual page 25.
Note that the cable connects to the AUX I/O connector.
That is *not* a serial port - only three pins are RS-232, RXD, TXD and
Signal Ground.
Do not plug a serial cable directly into the K2, it can damage the K2 or
the serial port or
My K2/100 and KAT100 are working fine with the
specified cables, Don.
What is the special cable to connect to the
computer or a serial adapter? Is it documented in
the KPA100 manual? Sorta buried in another
project just now, with an antenna distraction too,
so I've not looked it up. Just

It is not in the KPA100 manual, but on page 25 of the KAT100 manual.
Look at the diagram.
Does your present cable have two 'tails' on it? If so, the tail you are
currently not using goes to the computer COM port.
The usual cable that is constructed for computer use with the KPA100 is
