Does anyone know of anyone performing repair service besides
Hipotronics/Haefely?. Please respond off-list.
Thanks in advance

Hi David --
The general rule is that repairing, refurbishing or reconditioning -- in
other words, products are NOT CHANGED from what already is installed at the
customer's location -- is OK. You are just fixing what is broken or about
to wear out on equipment that was previously accepted.
Thanks to all for their professional opinions!
It seems obvious to me now to test the bottom side of this kind of product.

Hello,
Thank you all for replying to my question
concerning the MDD (EMC directive 89/336/EEC)
As funny as this may seem - yesterday was the
first day I had ever seen and read that document.

Hi Ken --
Very interesting results! I'm glad to see that someone is actually checking
out lab equipment and test procedures in the real world, instead of just
looking for a consensus interpretation of the latest standard.
I hope you will be able to share your results with this forum when you
Ken and EMC-PSTC colleagues,
Apologies if this is already known, but a great deal of work on
evaluating the inconsistencies of harmonic and flicker analysers has
been done by Paul Wright of the UK National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
This work has been published in award-winning NCSL papers,
Hello,
In the process of evaluating replacement equipment that meets the requirements

Hi Kim,
I purchased a Tegam 94111-1 about six years ago from ETS. Attached is the
link to the manual. It's the same model number as the Ailtech you've
mentioned so maybe they are the same.

Greetings,
A slightly off topic question :)
Does anybody know of a good technical translation service from English to
Dutch, that could be trusted to do a good job on EMC type reports.
Thanks
Kevin Harris
I have it. I can scan the transfer impedance curve and send it as a pdf.

Sounds like a useful test.
Please let me know if there is anything Voltech can do to help.
A number of Voltech customer PM3000A-002 Power Analyzers have recently been
verified to 61000-4-15 by the NPL in the UK without problems. You do need to
have PC Software v3.10 and PM3000A firmware v2.20

Ian,
The latest working document on the LVD (LVD update.5) requires a
dated reference to the harmonised standards, where these have been
applied.

Hello Group
as I understood all safety warnings and safety relevant
instructions must be in the language of the European
country where the equipment is sold and used.
Is it conform to the CE Mark rules (EMC and LVD)when

Goodmorning Gordon,
Regarding the date of application of a certain standard,
I suggest to use the date reference as published in the lists of
Harmonised standards. This list also lists applicable

Hi Folks
I would say that it is critical that you do state the dates and issue levels
of the standard, so as to indicate that these standards are valid as the basis
for the presumption of conformity to the relevant Directive at the time you
make the declaration, and so it is subsequently clear
