Dennis is 100% right. The exemption applies exclusively to products which are
industrial, commercial, or medical test equipment. The "test equi
t marketed to the consumer and
is not intended to be used in the home, then Class A applies.

I've run into this myself on occasion - that is, until I started educating our

Try running a -short- ground connection from the PC board ground at the
video connector to the nearest chassis ground.
I believe 3M makes the cable and connectors. It's not pretty and the cable
becomes stiff and unwieldy. Expensive too.

in saying that emission measurements
made for European compliance will in general
sufice for FCC regulations, especially if you
are in one of the classes for which fully
compliant measurements are not mandatory
and you are reponding to the
, sensors, etc--in our controls that are built into this
equipment.
